Place in the Organisation The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Chief Field Health Programme either directly or through the Area Health Officer, as the case may be.Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operates general clinic or other special services, including maternal and child health, control of non-communicable diseases as well as for hospital referrals and medical examination of Agency employed staff. Operates and administers the health centre to which he/she is assigned, including organization of services, personnel supervision, supply management and reporting. Supervises the work of other medical, nursing and para-medical staff in the health centre to which he/she is assigned and other community activities including school health and environmental sanitation in camps. Performs medical examination of applicants for special hardship assistance and issue of authorization forms for food aid. Participates in the on-job and in-service training of other staff in accordance with the approved plans.
Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications A medical degree from a recognized university including an internship of at least twelve months duration.
A valid governmental license to practice medicine in the country of duty station.
At least five years of satisfactory professional working experience three of which at least should have been with public health services, preferably with the Agency.
Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.Competencies(i) Ability to work under pressure and cope with heavy workload.
(ii) Excellent computer skills.
(iii) Excellent organizational and communication skills.
(iv) Self-motivated.
