    Benefits Monthly Salary JD 468 & 900 Fils. Supplementary Allowance 8 % of basic salary. Other benefits include Provident Fund contribution (15% of basic salary paid by the Agency), Medical insurance and 36 days of annual leave. Dependency benefits are subject to eligibility.

    Place in the Organisation
    The incumbent is responsible to the Senior Medical Officer or Medical Officer in charge of the Health Centre and receives technical supervision from the Field Laboratory Services Officer.
    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
    Performs the full range of chemical, bio-chemical, serological, microscopic and bacteriological tests referred to him/her by Medical Officers in the centre to which he/she is assigned. Maintains Laboratory records and registers, prepares and submits statistical reports and other relevant information on work performed. Maintains Laboratory equipment, supplies and reagents and prepares estimates of requirements for replenishment of consumable supplies. Performs such other duties as may be required.Minimum Qualifications Full secondary education. Completion of a course in Laboratory techniques of two years duration from an institution recognized by UNRWA.
    At least two years experience as Laboratory technician.
    Experience in the use of computers and an understanding of their use in health applications.
    LanguageGood command of written and spoken English and ArabicEQUIVALENCYWhen the minimum requirements are not fully met, the Director of UNRWA Operations may exceptionally substitute part of the unmet requirements with a combination of relevant academic qualifications, additional professional training and progressive relevant work experience.NB: Work experience alone or formal qualifications with no relevant work experience are not considered an acceptable
